We had such a beautiful evening after a spring storm to head out to the 

park and take engagement photos. 

Everything is so lush and green and these two were so much fun to photograph!

It was a fun collaboration of ideas and I can't wait for their wedding.

Playing with Picture Styles

I was challenged this week to work with, explore and manipulate picture styles.

These two were created to show subdued colors.

These show vivid colors

These show an altered view of reality.

The house is a beautiful landmark in our city and I was trying 

to portray it in a spooky context with the color tone.

The catkin below it looks like a gigantic extraterrestrial caterpillar to me.

Spring has Arrived

I love that every day you see changes in the trees and the robins are singing in my yard.
It's exciting to wake up everyday in the spring,
full of childlike wonder,
watching for the season to unfold.
The local wetlands are full of many varieties of birds.
The beautiful colors of budding trees are changing the drab scenery as life springs forth.
